Worship Opportunities
Sunday Services are at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. The 10:00 service is livestreamed each week on YouTube.
During the week we have Morning Prayer at 9:00 a.m. each weekday. It is livestreamed on Fr. Brandon’s YouTube Channel and linked to the Christ Church Facebook Page. Our Thursday edition of Morning Prayer is also held “in-person” in the chancel.
Special Worship Events
The Blessing of the Animals – On Sunday, October 4 we will hold the Blessing of the Animals at the 10:00 service. The service will be outdoors (weather permitting) and it is an opportunity for you to bring your friendly dogs and other beloved pets (whether in-person or by photo) to be blessed. This is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. A special Adult Forum will be held at 9:00 a.m. Information can be found below in this email.
All Saints’ Day – The Feast of All Saints’ Day also falls on a Sunday – November 1 – this year. This is when we remember ALL saints – including those whom we have lost as a church family over the last year. All Saints’ Day is also a time set aside for Baptism for those who have not yet been baptized. If you are interested in the Sacrament of Baptism, please speak to Fr. Jack Brownfield.

Formation Opportunities
Women in Discipleship – Begins Wednesday, September 9 – Continues their study of Walk in Love: Episcopal Beliefs & Practices (Gunn/Shobe) picking up with Chapter 8. The meetings are Wednesdays, September 9, 23; October 7, 21; November 4, 18; and December 16. Meeting Space: Multi-purpose Room, Education Building 1:30 p.m.
Choir Rehearsals begin Thursday, September 10 – 6:30 p.m.
Men’s Bible Study – Begins Saturday, September 12; The meetings are Saturdays, September 12, 26; October 10, 24; November 7, 21; December 5, 19. Meeting Space: Multi-purpose Room, Education Building 9:00 a.m.
Kick-off Sunday – September 13
Adult Forum – Church Fathers and Mothers – September 13 through November 22; 9:00 in the Multi-Purpose Room on the bottom floor of the Education Building (except October 4). – Discover the foundational voices of faith in this captivating series on the
Church Fathers and Mothers. Journey back to the early centuries with Fr. Jack, Fr. Brandon, and Ellen Seagraves to meet the brilliant theologians, courageous martyrs, and others who shaped Christian doctrine and practices. Uncover timeless wisdom, and connect with the roots of your faith history.
Youth Forum – A new welcoming Sunday School option for confirmed youth at Christ Church. There will be open, discussion-based conversations about faith, life and the challenges young people face today. Licensed therapists Elaine Malec and Chris Naccarelli will facilitate. Session 1: Is your parent “looks maxing”?

Fall Lecture Series – October/November
Sunday, October 4 – 9:00 a.m. – ADULT FORUM Ann (“Annie”) O’Brien, Chief Programs Officer for Animal Friends, will talk a little bit about her work in Animal Welfare. This is part of the Blessing of the Animals service.
POTLUCK SERIES – Evening Potluck Suppers – Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Presentation at 6:15 The church will provide dessert and beverages. Please bring a main dish, salad or side dish to share.

Fellowship Events
Fellowship Fridays – September 18; 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Kevin Gorski and Tim Whitford will host a Bingo night with snacks and beverages for all ages! Come enjoy an evening with friends and you may even win a prize!

Oktoberfest – Sunday, September 27 – Following the 10:00 service — Enjoy a delicious lunch put together by our crew of chefs of foods and beverages appropriate for this German tradition. The Youth Group will hold their annual Bottle Auction to raise funds. What will you win? A bottle of Champagne or A bottle of Shampoo?
Women’s Retreat – Saturday, October 24 – This year’s speaker – The Rev. Cn. Cathy Brall. More information coming soon.
Chili Cook-off – Sunday, November 8 – Following the 10:00 service — Let the competition begin! Think your chili considered the best? Put it up against your fellow parishioners’ recipes. Everyone will have the chance to try each one. Whose will be the hottest? The mildest? The meatiest? The Most Unique?
